DeZine - The Character Design Zine

DeZine is a beginner's guide to stylized character design, covering the use of shape, colour and fashion when it comes to designing a character that's full of personality.

The zine has 48 pages and 20 character drawings, of which 4 characters receive a more detailed breakdown of the choices that were made in their design. Pages 4-16 cover the theory of design, pages 18-33 go into the practice of it (the aforementioned more detailed look at 4 characters), and pages 35-45 feature a short comic that puts those four characters in action, showcasing how a design functions in the medium of a comic.

This zine is essentially a shortened and more humorous version of my bachelor's thesis in illustration, on the topic of stylized character design.
